MascotCapsule eruption data creation procedures
This tutorial provides basic procedures for creating the 3D data for designers who creates the 3D data to be used on MascotCapsule eruption.
Load the following files to render 3D graphics on the applications that use MascotCapsule eruption.
| MascotCapsule eruption file format: | |
|---|---|
| MCM | File containing a model data |
| MCA | File containing an action data |
| MCT | File containing a texture data |
| MCE | File containing a particle data |
Using sample animations, we will learn basic procedures for creating these files, and how to use various MascotCapsule eruption tools. These tools are provided free of charge from HI CORPORATION.
Please visit Tools & Documents page to download necessary plug-ins, tools, documentation, etc., all of them free of charge, for creating files.

Step 1: Creating the data
Create the 3D data using commercial 3D authoring tools.
Supported software: 3ds Max, Maya, LightWave3D, Softimage, etc.
Create the 2D data for textures using commercial 2D authoring tools.
Supported software: OPTPiX iMageStudio, Adobe Photoshop
Step 2: Exporting
Use the McmMcaExporter plug-in to export the completed 3D data as MCM/MCA files.
McmMcaExporter Demonstration
Use the MCT plug-in to export the completed 2D data as MCT files.

Step 3: Viewing the file
Use eruption Viewer to preview the exported MCM/MCA/MCT files on Windows.
Using eruption Viewer, you can verify environment mapping, bump mapping, fog, morphing, and other effects created in 3D authoring tools. You can also verify animation data sharing, and motion blending.
eruption Viewer Demonstration
Associate an MCA file with an MCM file in the main window's tree view, to playback an animation.
The combination of data files to be loaded can be saved as a scene setting. This setting can be invoked later.
New!! eruption EffectTool
eruption EffectTool is a tool to create and preview the particle to be used in eruption.
The created particle data can be exported as an MCE file.
Particles can be created from MCM/MCT files.

Compositing the animation and effectUse eruption EffectTool for previewing the composite of the animation created in 3D authoring tools, and the effects created in eruption EffectTool. In this sample, 3D models are the character and the encircling ray of light, and the effect created using eruption EffectTool is the particles moving up in a cylindrical shape. An effect can be created using multiple particles. |
|
3D model particleeruption EffectTool can use a model created in 3D authoring tools as a particle.Fallen leaves in this sample use a model created in a 3D authoring tool. |
|
Particle with a nested structureeruption EffectTool can create a particle that has a nested structure. This sample uses particles in a nested structure: the missile is the parent particle, and the smoke is the child particle. |
|
Sprite additioneruption EffectTool can add sprites. In this sample, the flame is created by the added sprite particles. |
|
Combination of multiple elementsThis sample combines the following 3 elements:Composite of the animation created in a 3D authoring tool, and the effect created using eruption EffectTool Using the model created in a 3D authoring tool as a particle Using the particles that have a nested structure |
The 3D data to be used on MascotCapsule eruption has been completed.
As described here, HI CORPORATION provides various MascotCapsule eruption tools that enable you to easily create, edit, and verify MCM/MCA/MCT/MCE files on a variety of supported 3D authoring tools and 2D authoring tools.
In order to render the completed MCM/MCA/MCT/MCE files in the actual target environment or on the PC emulator, coding must accommodate each operating environment.
