What is MascotCapsule?
The MascotCapsule 3D rendering engine enables easy and low-cost development of 3D applications that run on mobile phones, handheld devices, information appliances, etc. MascotCapsule V1 through V4 accommodate different operating environment including CPU and OS.
Features
- A native software library for displaying 3D graphics on various embedded devices, as well as small devices including mobile phones, handheld game devices, PDA, etc.
- Converts the data, which was created in commercial 3D tools, to special formats prior to rendering this data.
- Programatically draws 3D primitives by directly specifying the primitive data.
- The latest version, V4 complies with international standard specifications such as M3G (Mobile 3D Graphics for J2ME) 1.0/1.1 (JSR184), OpenGL® ES, etc.
Operating Environment
- Library size: Approximately 100 KB for V3, 200 KB for V4
- Heap area: From approximately 800 KB to 1 MB in general (depending on contents)
- CPU performance: Equivalent to, or better than ARM9 (100 MHz) for V4
